PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a sense of incongruity of a driver caused by parallel movement of a vehicle at the time of low speed, and solve a sense of incongruity of the driver caused by rapidly steering a rear wheel under a rear end extension restraining control. SOLUTION: In this rear wheel steering device, a rear wheel is steered according to a steering angle of a front wheel. This device comprises a rear end extension restraining control means for restraining extension of the rear end of the vehicle; a same phase steering restraining means for restraining the steering angle so as not to steer the front wheel and the rear wheel into the same phase when the rear end extension restraining control means steers the rear wheel in a manner to restrain extension of the rear end; and/or a rear wheel steering speed restraining means for restraining the speed of the rear wheel steering in a specific range when the rear end extension restraining control means steers the rear wheel in a manner to restrain the extension of the rear end.
