PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional yarn winder such as low maintenability and too many parts used, which are caused by dividing a contact roller in the axial direction and raising a resonance point in order to cope with high speed and long dimensions. SOLUTION: A common housing positioned in the middle thereof does not need to be removed in removing the contact roller, so that the number of parts to be handled is reduced, and an expensive fixture, which becomes important for obtaining centering accuracy at re-assembly, does not need to be manufactured nor controlled. There occurs no central dislocation of the common housing caused by re-positioning because the middle housing is not removed. Moreover, replacement of the contact roller itself on a machine frame side can be facilitated, thus significantly improving maintenance efficiency. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
