<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the visibility of a pattern display which is formed on the road surface by a beam regarding a vehicle operation-supporting system. <P>SOLUTION: A beam casting machine 24 which casts a visible beam having a specified wavelength on the road surface for notifying the existence of a self vehicle to the drivers of other vehicles or for making a driver of the self vehicle confirm the advancing direction of the self vehicle is provided on the front part of a car body. Also, an optical filter is provided extending to the almost total region of a window glass in front of a driver's seat. A characteristic wherein the transmittance of the beam in a vicinity of the wavelength owned by the visible beam which is cast by the beam-casting machine 24 is higher than those with wavelengths other than the wavelength is imparted. In such a constitution, a visible beam pattern by the visible beam of the self vehicle or other vehicle is prevented from becoming hard to see for drivers of vehicles due to daylight or the like, and the visibility is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
