LASER RECORDING METHOD FOR FORMING IMAGE WITH MATERIAL TO BE COATED ON SITE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser recording method capable of obtaining a homogeneous printing capacity.

SOLUTION: An image forming element based on a thermally imageable material coated on the spot to be manufactured is irradiated with a shaped laser recording spot by following a pattern to form a lithographic printing surface on a printing press. The shaped laser recording spot has an energy profile having extremely sharp transition in both dimensions between writing and non-writing regions. The image forming element is manufactured on the spot by applying an imageable material on a lithographic surface to cure the same on a printing press and/or a printing plate making apparatus outside the printing press to form an image, and performing a developing process.
