<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder in which deterioration of image quality due to positional shift of a recording head can be avoided by correcting positional shift of the recording head automatically, and a high image quality can be attained at all times. <P>SOLUTION: The image recorder 10 has a line recording head 3 supported fixedly and records an image by carrying a recording sheet 19 in the Y direction relatively. At the time of generating correction data of image recording positional shift due to positional shift of nozzle in the line recording head, a test pattern is recorded on the recording sheet, shift of a recording image due to the test pattern is read out, and then the correction data is operated at a correction data generating section 9 and stored in an RAM 5. At the time of taking in the input image data, the input image data is corrected at an image data correcting section 4 based on the correction data, and recording is performed with corrected image data by means of the line recording head 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
