<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying system with a carrying line using a carrier for carrying commodities to predetermined sites and a storage line for temporarily keeping and storing the commodities in an automated storage and retrieval warehouse, each having a subordinate controller, wherein the subordinate controllers of all lines are supervised by a host controller, allowing the commodity to be carried to a proper alternate carriage destination when carriage to a scheduled carriage destination is rejected. <P>SOLUTION: Attribute data is given to each of the commodities 12, and the alternate carriage destination is selected in accordance with the attribute data when carriage to the scheduled carriage destination is rejected.
