PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a film from being stuck on a carrying roller even when the carrying roller stops for a long time while the carrying roller is brought into tight contact with the film under a condition where temperature of the carrying roller is elevated to a high temperature. SOLUTION: For a time until the rear end of an image receiving medium is separated from a pair of fixing rollers and the rear end is furthermore excessively carried by a specified distance in the direction of a discharging roller by the carrying roller, heating and pressing are performed by a pair of upper rollers for fixing (S1708). When carrying is stopped at a part of the film following the rear end of the image receiving medium, the part of the film wound around on the carrying roller 7 can be thereby heated and pressed. Therefore, as the film surface being brought into tight contact with the carrying roller when it is stopped is heated and pressed in advance by a pair of fixing rollers, roughness of the surface is changed. In this case, as it follows the surface condition of a pair of lower rollers for fixing, contact area with the carrying roller is decreased in comparison with a film without heating and fixing and degree of tight contact is extremely decreased.
