<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial aggregate giving excellent characteristics to concrete and a method for manufacturing the artificial aggregate. <P>SOLUTION: This artificial aggregate is manufactured by firing original aggregate, preferably, after forming a cement-fixed layer on the surface of the original aggregate at the aggregate fusing temperature by spraying cement toward the original aggregate. Excellent characteristics such as a strength characteristic and freezing and thawing characteristics which are equal to or better than those of the concrete obtained by using a natural aggregate can be given to the concrete obtained by using this aggregate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
