PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a BD output signal by scanning a BD sensor without scanning a photosensitive drum when a laser is lighted. SOLUTION: The laser controller comprises a laser, a BD sensor and a polygon motor with an FG output wherein the laser is lighted at a specified timing stored by a storage means for an FG output signal when the FG period is settled.
