<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which has good coloring properties and the preservability of a recorded image and is excellent in plasticizer resistance, oil resistance, and water resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal recording material, a recording layer containing an electron donating coloring dye precursor and an electron accepting coloring dye developing compound for coloring the precursor is formed on a support. On the recording layer, a coating layer containing a water-soluble polymer as a main component, and titanium lactate for crosslinking the hydrophilic groups of the polymer is incorporated as a crosslinking agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
