PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a method for producing interleukin 12 in a large amount and in a good efficiency. SOLUTION: This method for producing the interleukin 12 by infecting insect cells with a gene recombinant virus encoding the interleukin 12 is provided by culturing the insect cells with agitation for making it possible to perform a large scale culture and to produce the interleukin 12 in a large amount. Also, in culturing the insect cells, it is preferable to add a surfactant, and that is especially effective in producing the interleukin 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
