<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further enhance heat dissipation effect of a recorder represented by a printer by cooling electronic components inexpensively utilizing existing components and supporting an existing heat dissipation means. <P>SOLUTION: A main frame 5 having a substantially U-shaped plan view constitutes a basic body of the printer. A carriage 7 reciprocal in the main scanning direction is provided on a front side of the main frame 5, and a sheet feeder 3 for feeding a print sheet is provided on a rear side of the main frame 5. A circuit board 10 constituting a control unit of the printer is provided at a position, in the vicinity of the end of a reciprocal region of the carriage 7, where the circuit board 19 can touch an air flow produced through reciprocal operation of the carriage 7. Electronic components mounted on the circuit board 9 are cooled with an air flow produced through reciprocal operation of the carriage 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
