OLIGONUCLEOTIDE PRIMER FOR SPECIFICALLY DETECTING SULFATE-REDUCING BACTERIUM IN BIOCONSORTIA SAMPLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide oligonucleotide primers for PCR capable of specifically detecting a bacterium of the genus Desulfovibrio and a sulfate-reducing bacterium related to the bacterium and to provide a method for specifically detecting the bacterium of the genus Desulfovibrio in various environmental samples and artificial environmental samples such as reserved crude oil and the bacterium related to the bacterium by using the primers.

SOLUTION: A pair of oligonucleotide primers which are specific to 16S rRNA sequence of the bacterium is prepared. A bacterium of the genus Desulfovibrio in various environmental samples and artificial environmental samples such as stored crude oil and the sulfate-reducing bacterium which is related to the bacterium is specifically detected in a PCR method by using the primers.
