PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for molding a honeycomb capable of enhancing the abrasion resistance of the cap or a cap fixture and capable of eliminating the shape trouble of a molded object caused by the abrasion of the cap, at the time of extrusion molding of a stock containing a material extremely high in hardness such as SiC or the like, and the cap fixture for molding the honeycomb using the cap. SOLUTION: The cap 10 for molding the honeycomb has a structure wherein groove-like slits 2 are provided to the upper surface of the cap 10 by cell blocks 3 and back holes 4 communicating with the slits 2 are provided to the back surface of the cap 10. The cap 10 comprises a carbide alloy having high abrasion resistance and the carbide alloy is obtained by performing the compression molding of a cemented metal carbide compound powder of a transition metal element system, using a ferrous metal having high toughness as a binder and sintering the molded one at a high temperature.
