PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a power supply chip provided in a welding chip of an arc welder. SOLUTION: The power supply chip (52) of the welding chip comprises a chip body (52) mountable on a welding torch body; and a chip distal end member (64) formed integrally with the body (62). The chip distal end member is split into first and second half sections (66, 68) via a slit (65) formed along its axial center. The first half section is movable around a coupling part to the chip body with a predetermined rigidity. A spring member (58) is externally engaged with the chip distal end member to add a spring force to the same distal end member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
