PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a mother pipe for bulging in which forming failure in bulging is suppressed and process is simplified when a tapered mother pipe as well as a straight mother pipe is used in bulging such as hydraulic bulging, and provide a bulged article, and provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The mother pipe for bulging is produced through a first processing process in which a material 1 is formed into the mother pipe for bulging and through a second processing process in which the material 1 is processed to make bulging easier, and the second processing is carried out before the first processing process is completed.
