PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for volume reducing packing of a waste by which working cost in a volume reducing packing work of the waste is reduced and a bag is hardly broken. SOLUTION: The method for volume reducing packing of the waste comprises a volume reduction process, a bag mounting process and a sealing process as main processes. In the bag mounting process, a cylindrical plastic sheet with a required length is delivered from a raw sheet in which the cylindrical plastic sheet is rolled under a gasset-folded condition, and it is melt-welded in the widthwise direction of the raw sheet and is cut along the rear side of the melt-welded part to manufacture the bag.
