PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite channel assignment method which improves the use efficiency of satellite lines by assigning satellite lines so as to prevent an unnecessary band width from being used. SOLUTION: With respect to assignment in a master station 10, slave stations 3-k and 3-m are so instructed that the band width of a satellite channel 6-1 may be a band width required for transmission from the slave station 3-k to the slave station 3-m and the band width of a satellite channel 6-2 may be a band width required for transmission from the slave station 3-m to the slave station 3-k. Since use band widths in two-way transmission and reception are indicated in accordance with required band widths respectively in this manner, they are so constituted that the transmission rate and the reception rate may be different. A band width required for only one-way communication from the slave station 3-k to the slave station 3-m may be assigned. Further, a band width required for communication between the slave station 3-k and plural slave stations 3-m to 3-n may be assigned. In this case of communication between one slave station and plural stations, a band width required for only one-way communication from the slave station 3-k to slave stations 3-m to 3-n may be assigned. |
