PURPOSE:To provide the fault diagnostic device which securely diagnose a fault even if the input signal from a programmable logic controller contains chattering and bouncing. CONSTITUTION:A diagnostic program stored in a ROM 24 does not take a countermeasure against the chattering of the input signal from the programmable logic controller except in a transition monitor time zone registered in a RAM 25, and registers the transition of the input signal in the transition monitor time zone if the input signal has the transition and monitors the chattering of the input signal thereafter on the basis of a chattering monitor time set in the random access memory 25. |
