PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal shutter spectacle in a stereoscopic video display device which reduces flicker interference fault. SOLUTION: An optical system consists of linear polarizing plates 10 which convert incident light into linear polarization that has an axis of polarization in a prescribed direction, liquid crystal cells 20 on which linear polarization from the plates 10 is made incident and which make the linear polarization that is made incident emit while rotating its axis of polarization at the prescribed angle in a 1st mode and make the linear polarization that is made incident emit without changing the direction of its axis of polarization in a 2nd mode, and color polarization plates 30 on which linear polarization from the cells 20 is made incident and which make only one set of color components pass through between two sets of color components which consists of one set of one color component and the other set of two color components among RGB colors that are included in the incident light in the 1st mode and make only the other set of color components pass through in the 2nd mode. The optical systems are separately provided for a left eye and for a right eye. |
