<p>PURPOSE:To provide a digital gradation display by employing two independent driving frequencies. CONSTITUTION:In an active matrix liquid crystal display device, the gradation display of the display device uses a display driving system which has a display timing relating a unit time (t) in that a writing is performed to an arbitrary picture element and a time F in that a writing is performed to one picture screen. In the above device, the signals during a writing of the time (t) are made into a time division form without changing the time F and the averaged value of the electric field applied to the liquid crystal of the picture element during the time (t) is changed in accordance with the proportion of the division and thus, the display of the gradation is provided.</p> |
