PURPOSE: A method for maintaining an SS7(Signaling System No.7) MTP2(Message Transfer Part layer 2) link in a BSC(Base Station Controller) of a mobile communication system is provided to effectively perform a repeated message transmission by varying a driving operation of a timer according to certain state change or message generation. CONSTITUTION: Driving times of a timer are variably set up as values(T1,T2,T3), for processing a state change or a non-periodically generated message, and the number of the transmission of the message is initialized(ST11). The timer is driven during the setup value(T1)(ST12,ST13), and messages with uniform numbers are transmitted(ST14). It is checked whether a protocol state is changed or a message type is changed(ST15). If the protocol state is not changed or the message type is not changed, the timer is driven during the setup value(T2)(ST16,S17) and messages with the uniform numbers are transmitted(ST18). It is checked whether the protocol state is changed or the message type is changed(ST18). If the protocol state is not changed or the message type is not changed, the timer is driven during the setup value(T3)(ST20,ST21) and messages with the uniform numbers are transmitted(ST22). |
