PURPOSE: A tobacco leaf processing method for reducing harmful components is provided to remove harmful components contained in tobacco leaves from the tobacco leaves by chemical reaction treatment. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: cutting a compressed tobacco leave cumulative body into a constant size(110); applying a carbonate material to the cut tobacco leaves and heating the tobacco leaves by a high temperature steam(120); fermentating the tobacco leaves(130); performing a first fragrance applying treatment(140); performing a second fragrance applying treatment and an organic acid treatment(150); drying the tobacco leaves(160); and performing the subsequent process(170).
