摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling positions of a laser welding head are provided to control the position of the laser welding head based on the reference distance between a welding head and a welding object. CONSTITUTION: A laser welding device is operated by means of a positioned controller(25). A welding head conveyer(21) is connected to a tip of a robot joint section(12). A welding head(13) is attached to an upper end of the welding head conveyer(21) so as to allow laser beam generated from a laser generator(15) to be radiated into a welding object through the welding head(13). A distance detecting device(23) is installed at an end of the welding head(13). A position detecting device(22) and a vibration detecting device(27) are installed at an end of the welding head conveyer(21) so as to detect the distance between the welding head(13) and the welding object. A driving section(24) is operated according to an algorithm stored in the position control section.
