<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment in which a multimedia contents distribution system is easy to use for both of a service provider and a service recipient. <P>SOLUTION: A multimedia data reception device is provided with reception means 102 for receiving desired multimedia data, buffer means 106 for storing received multimedia data, decoding appropriateness determination means 103 for determining whether or not the multimedia data can be decoded from header information stored in the buffer means, decoding means 104 for decoding multimedia data stored in the buffer means when the decoding is determined to be possible by the determination means, and output means for outputting information decoded by the decoding means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
