PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resolution conversion apparatus in a simple configuration at low cost in which an image size is magnified in real time with high quality. SOLUTION: The resolution conversion apparatus is provided with a resolution conversion processing part 21 and an RPU/DMA channel controller 22. The resolution conversion processing part 21 applies interpolation processing according to a bilinear method to input image data to generate the pixel data of three-times magnified image data at a maximum, and outputs the pixel data to respective logic circuits LC0-LC2 of the RPU/DMA channel controller 22. Further, the resolution conversion processing part 21 outputs a transfer permission signal to the logic circuits LC0-LC2. Each of the logic circuits LC0-LC2 of the RPU/DMA channel controller 22 outputs the pixel data of the magnified image data inputted from the resolution conversion processing part 21 to DMA channels CH0-CH2 in accordance with the relevant transfer permission signal.
