PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the life of a battery by preventing an increase in a consumption current even though an auto repeat function is frequently used in a disk player. SOLUTION: This disk player is provided with an auxiliary memory 3 for storing a reproduced signal obtained when a pickup 2 moves in the radial direction of a disk at the first playing, and a control circuit 1 for instructing the pickup to read the reproduced signal from the auxiliary memory 3 at the second and succeeding playing. A function is also provided for moving the pickup 2 to a position on the disk which corresponds to the end of the reproduced signal in the auxiliary memory 3 while reading the reproduced signal from the auxiliary memory 3, when the playing time of a part to be repeatedly played in an auto repeat state exceeds signal time capacity storable in the auxiliary memory 3.
