摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expected system that operates with a low system clock for the next-generation optical disk system with a double speed assumed, because a system clock has to be equal to or more than a data rate and a channel rate is high in the conventional signal reproducing device. SOLUTION: An A/D converter 14 samples an input signal. An interpolation circuit 15 generates an odd data signal and an even data signal from the input signal. The odd data signal and the even data signal are supplied to a decoding circuit 16 to be subjected to, for example, Viterbi decoding. The interpolation circuit 15 consists of a first interpolating means for applying an interpolation operation to the input signal and outputting an odd number signal of a desired data rate, and a second interpolating means for using a second coefficient group whose value is the same as or symmetrical to each coefficient value of a first coefficient group used by the first interpolating means to perform an interpolation operation and outputting an even number signal of a desired data rate.
