PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a thirdparty from being under the illusion to be imaged by himself by a camera of a back surface side in a portable information terminal device containing the camera on the back surface. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal device has the camera 32 disposed on the back side of an opposite side to a surface side having an operating mechanism and a display screen. The terminal unit comprises a camera cover 30 covering the camera 32 so as not to be visually recognized by the thirdparty and which camera 30 can be freely opened or closed by the user of the terminal unit.
