<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce complicated work of narrowing down essentially required information in order to select merchandise at the time when a user purchases the merchandise. <P>SOLUTION: A method of providing merchandise information is provided with: a merchandise information table 1210 for storing merchandise information; an information decision table 1230 for storing criteria for merchandise information extraction; a purchase schedule acceptance part 1110 for receiving a merchandise purchase schedule from a user to generate a user record; a merchandise information extraction part 1120 for extracting merchandise information to be provided for the user from only a merchandise information table 1220 on the basis of the information decision table 1230; and a merchandise information providing part 1130 for providing the user with the extracted merchandise information. Information contents are provided to the user stepwise in a period of allowance before an appointed day for purchase in accordance with the purchase schedule information of the user, and the most suitable merchandise information in the period is provided to the user, so that complicated work of narrowing down information in order to select merchandise can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
