PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing a group of communication terminals making up a star network and an apparatus using the method. SOLUTION: In the method for managing group information with at least one or more general communication terminals in the star network composed of the general communication terminals and a central communication terminal controlling the whole network, the method is provided with a step (a) for requesting the central communication terminal to establish a communication channel for managing the group and a step (b) for setting the communication channel for managing the group from the central communication terminal, receiving and storing the group information.
