PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate congestion loss time and congestion loss amount on the basis of reliable traveling data by time period obtained from a vehicle. SOLUTION: This traffic information processing method and a traffic information processing system comprise a computing target path staring/end point receiving portion 51 receiving a starting point and an end point of a computing requesting path from an information user, an environment/condition receiving portion 52 receiving environment and condition at the time of requesting computing, a computing target path passing point extracting portion 53 extracting a point on a map on which the path passes, a passing time obtaining portion 54 obtaining average passing time by time period calculated about an interval between the passing points, a passing time correcting portion 55 correcting the average passing time between the points by applying a parameter according to the environment/condition, a congestion loss time calculating portion 56 calculating the congestion loss time on the basis of the passing time by time period between the points, and a congestion loss amount calculating portion 57 calculating the congestion loss amount on the basis of the calculated congestion loss time.
