PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable not only a personal computer side but also a device side to perform operations such as search selection of file data on a personal computer, start execution of data transfer and stopping of the data transfer. SOLUTION: A USB device 200 is provided with a key input means 204 for controlling data transfer. A USB interface configures a pipe for data transfer for connecting end points respectively belonging to the personal computer 110 and the USB device 200, and data are transferred through the pipe for data transfer in response to key operation input information from a key input means 204.
