PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a color looks different when a light source is changed. SOLUTION: The color is converted so that the average of the colors obtained respective measurements corresponds to the color expressed by first image data of a conversion source when a result obtained by printing with second image data after color conversion is measured under the plurality of light sources. The color conversion is achieved by referring to one three-dimensional color conversion table where countermeasures are adopted in the plurality of light sources. Thus, a difference in viewing the colors caused by the difference in the light sources is reduced with small storage capacity and without reducing the processing speed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
