PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that uncomfortable separation feeling occurs in a diversity switching operation. SOLUTION: This apparatus has first and second reception systems 10A, 10B for receiving a broadcast radio wave to obtain an FM detection output signal, first and second noise detecting circuits 20A, 20B for detecting the noise level of each of the systems, a comparing circuit 30 for comparing the noise levels of the respective systems, and an output switching circuit 40 for selecting and outputting the optimum FM detection output signal on the basis of the result of comparison. The respective systems have a first IF filter section 13A (a second IF filter section 13B) for extracting an IF signal from the FM detection output signal, a first detecting section 14A (a second detecting section 14B) for detecting the IF signal, a first adjacent disturbance detecting section 15A (a second adjacent disturbance detecting section 15B) for detecting an adjacent disturbance signal from the FM detection output signal. This FM diversity receiving apparatus 1 has a control circuit 60 for setting the pass band widths of first and second IF filter sections to a narrow band, upon receiving the adjacent disturbance signal.
