PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire receiving relay and fire receiver capable of normally determining the state of a sensor line even in the connection of a fire sensor of either limited current contact method or short circuit contact method to the sensor line. SOLUTION: This device comprises a current value measuring means 3a for detecting and measuring the current value carried to the sensor line L1, a sensor selecting means 3e for selectively setting the type kind and presence of terminal of the fire sensor to be connected to the sensor line as at least set items of sensor line, and a current value information processing part 3b for determining the state of the sensor line L1 on the basis of the measured current value. The current value information processing part 3b switches state determination methods 3b1, 3b2 and 3b3 according to the selectively set content of the sensor selecting means 3e to determine the state of the sensor line L1.
