PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin selector shortening the distance between the coin selector and a coin insertion opening placed over the coin selector as much as possible. SOLUTION: A gate plate open/close means 30 comprises an L-shaped lever 32 supported turnably on an axis 31 on a main plate 14 and a pressing guide pin 50 which is protrusively provided on one end of the lever 32 and separates a gate plate 13 from the main plate 14 when the lever 32 is rotated toward one direction.
