PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tag function adding program for adding the tag function to an existing web browser so that a user can refer to an arbitrary position in an arbitrary web page anytime quickly. SOLUTION: A tag information preparing program 6 and a tag display program 3 are stored in the HDD16 of a terminal unit 10 connected to a server unit 20 via the Internet N. The tag information preparing program 6 starts when an arbitrary character string on the web page is selected, and stores the tag information interrelated with the selected character string, URL and comments or the like in a tag file 4. The tag display program 3 starts when one tag information item is selected from a tag menu 33b or the all tag listing display 34 or the like. The tag display program 3 displays the web page based on the URL included in the selected tag information, searches within the web page by using the character string and specifies the position, and scrolls the web page until the position is displayed.
