PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera provided with a plurality of liquid crystal display apparatus by adopting the configuration of commonality of a light source for emitting liquid crystal display panels or the like so as to reduce the number of components, attain ease of downsizing, and decrease the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The electronic camera includes: a liquid crystal display panel 11 for displaying image to display a photographed image or a recorded image; a liquid crystal display panel 12 for observing an image formed smaller than the liquid crystal display panel 11 for displaying image to view the displayed image through an eyepiece lens 22a; a light guide member 16 for guiding luminous flux respectively to the liquid crystal display panel 11 for displaying image and the liquid crystal display panel 12 for observing image; and a light source 18 that is freely movably placed between a first position at which the light source 18 emits the luminous flux to the liquid crystal display panel 11 for displaying image via the light guide member and a second position at which the light source 18 emits the luminous flux to the liquid crystal display panel 12 for observing image via the light guide member.
