PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply start up a desired system from among a plurality of systems. SOLUTION: When a user turns on the power of information equipment main body while depressing, for example, a '4' key on a keyboard 22, a started BIOS (basic input/output system) 191 detects depression of the key '4' at the time of the power on and starts a switch program 44. The started switch program 44 starts a boot block 31 after storing the setting content (to change the fourth partition 54 to an active partition) to start the system from a fourth partition 54 in a partition table of the boot block 31.
