<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet connection environment by eliminating the need for human operation and authenticating a terminal device requesting connec tion to the Internet through an in-house network. <P>SOLUTION: When an in-house authentication server (31) installed in the in-house network (13) connected to the Internet and for authenticating a PC (12) requesting connection to the Internet receives an Internet connection request from a television receiver (20) installed in accordance with each hub (11) of the in-house network through a television distribution network (18) (step S01 and S02), the in-house authentication server (31) displays an image for confirming to the effect that connection to the Internet is a pay service on the television receiver 20 (step S04).
