PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo handling vehicle provided with a cargo handling gear which solves the problem of exhaust gas and noise when traveling or handling the cargo. SOLUTION: A wheel loader is provided with a travel hydraulic motor 10 which rotates a travel wheel, a travel hydraulic pump 11 which supplies an operation oil to the travel hydraulic motor 10, hydraulic cylinders 14 and 15 which actuate the cargo handling gear, and a cargo-handling/turn-around hydraulic pump 20 which supplies the operation oil to the cylinders 14 and 15. It also comprises an electric motor 26 which drives the hydraulic pumps 11 and 20, connected directly together, and a main battery 27 which supplies an electric power to the electric motor 26. The travel hydraulic pump 11 is interlocked with the electric motor 26. The main battery 27 comprises small batteries 27a-27d connected together in series by plural division.
