PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that is free from producing unnecessary copies. SOLUTION: When the image forming apparatus reads an original white paper sensing area preset by an operator from an original side in opposition to contact glass and the image information capacity preset by the operator is not satisfied, the image forming operation is stopped and the image information of the read original is stored in a storage medium, and the image information is managed.
