PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a capacity of a memory portion of each living room terminal, dividing a data, distributing and storing them to a plurality of living room terminals. SOLUTION: An interphone device for an apartment building is provided with a plurality of living room terminals 1a to 1f including a data transmitter 11 which is placed inside a living room for performing a data transmission, and a calling transmitter 12 for performing a calling transmission; and one or more apartment entrance machines including the data transmitter which is placed in an entrance of an apartment building for performing the data transmission, the calling transmitter for performing the calling transmission via a transmission path, and a picture imaging portion for imaging a picture and transmitting it via a picture path. One or a plurality of the living room terminals have data memories 14a for preliminarily storing all data divided by the specified room to the respective room terminal, for example to the room terminal 1a. In each of the room terminals, a location memories 14b for preliminarily storing existing locations of data is provide for storing to discriminate in which terminals the data to be retrieved.
