PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus in which a user can unlock a key easily while preventing other persons from unlocking the key easily. SOLUTION: In setting key lock, a control section stores data indicative of the type of a depressed key (includes keys other than ten keys) and the depressing procedure of the key in a second storing section in response to an input from an input section (step S4). The key is unlocked (step S10) if a decision is made that the type of the depressed key and the depressing procedure of the key match those stored in the second storing section (steps S5, S6 and S9), otherwise an error is informed (step S7).
