摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical disk drive capable of adjusting a position of a magnetic head. SOLUTION: The magneto-optical disk drive 100 generates a magnetic field to a magneto-optical recording medium 10 having a recording layer and a reproduction layer prior to recording a signal in the magneto-optical recording medium 10 by using the magnetic field and laser light and adjusts the position of the magnetic head 30 which generates the magnetic field by utilizing a fact that an irradiating position of the laser light is shifted by eccentricity of the magneto-optical recording medium 10 at a state that the laser light is irradiated. For example, this position adjustment is carried out by using a beam position signal indicating the irradiating position of the laser light and a detection signal to be detected by modulation of the laser light by the magnetic field.
