The joint (3) is formed as a single unit coupled to the circumference of the support (1) and the tabletop (2). The unit comprises pads (31,32) extending beyond the support on which the tabletop rests. The unit's internal configuration is adapted to that of the support to which it is jointed. Screws or rivets are provided for fixing the unit and support. At least one of the pads (31) has a shape curved towards the tabletop (2).
