<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately analyze a Japanese sentence including a conjugated adjective. <P>SOLUTION: The accurate meaning of a sentence structure including a conjugated adjective depends on a context, etc., and cannot be determined in the stage of the syntactic/semantic analysis with one sentence as an object of processing. In the method provided here, a connection value dictionary is referred to in the syntax/meaning analysis. When a verb has a connection value of 'ni' case, the sign 0 is inserted into the part corresponding to the case postpositional particle 'ni' in the semantic structure and an adjective is inserted into the part of an essential case, so that the result of analysis that the sentence has the meaning indicating the case relation is outputted. By outputting the result of analysis of both the meaning indicating the case relation and the adverbial meaning, more accurate meaning can be determined in the analysis of the context in the latter part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
