<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device that cannot easily generate irregularities due to light intensity or quantity of light even if an operating button is thinned down, and hence prevents width in the selection of a printing color, a printing density, and the like in the formation of a printing layer from being narrowed. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal device is equipped with a scroll button 8, and a light source 3 for lighting a scroll key 83 that is directly pressed down by a finger being provided in the scroll button 8.
