PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an apparatus in home or close to oneself, not connected via a telephone channel. SOLUTION: An infrared transmitter for control, a radio transmitter for control or an ultrasonic transmitter for control are contained or mounted in a telephone 1, a portable telephone or a cordless telephone. The telephone 1, the portable telephone or the cordless telephone has an infrared or ultrasonic wave sending port 3 for control, and an antenna if the radio wave is used. A function switching switch 2 of the telephone and the wireless remote controller is attached, and input of the control signal of the telephone is used also as a telephone number input key 4.
